It’s alive

It’s been some time since I’ve posted, and longer since I’ve brewed. Life moves on. I got a note on twitter saying congrats on the 9th anniversary. Which means this blog is almost 10 years old, and I started brewing in 2011.

A few things have changed since then, but not a whole lot, living, working, and existing in the same basic space. Personally, I’ve spent a lot less time making, drinking, and learning about beer. I spend a lot more time trying to stay fit, get a bit faster, and maybe some day qualify for Boston.

Since I last posted I ran 3 marathons Chicago 2018, SugarLoaf 2019, and BayState 2019. While I’ve taken a bit of a hiatus in 2020 from marathons, I’ve still managed to run 1200 or so miles, and feel the urge to get signed up for a fall 2021 marathon, assuming things shape up for more normalcy then.

I’ve started PC gaming a bit, I built a gaming PC for the first time in 20 years. I’m not good at it, but it’s fun to play my way through storys. I tend to play driving games, some FPS’s, RPG and puzzle games. Ghost recon breakpoint, Borderlands2, Wreckfest, Project cars 2, HOB, Starwars Battlefied II, Portal II. I’ve started a few new old ones, Red Dead redemption, witcher 3, the two newer starwars games, are all on my to play list, but I haven’t gotten there yet. It’s a wast of time, but there are worse things to be doing.

Anyway. This boring, and kind of pointless, but I figured I’d try to write again. I’ve done a few minor home projects which I’ve enjoyed, and am considering writing up some of the bigger projects around here.

Happy holidays.
