Running Wisdom?

I came up with an analogy that I thought was fitting to improvements in running.

Running is like saving, it’s impossible to achieve your goal in one step.
You need to accumulate over time, not every investment will be the same size, and some times you need to withdraw, but if you continually invest over time, it will accumulate.

I’ve now spent years running. It all started with a simple goal and a bit of jealousy. I wanted to be one of the cool Kids (like my Partner, running a marathon).

I started with a half, and it took me 3 months to run one, and I was sort of off to the races as they say.
